Nepal is a remarkable destination for trekkers. From tough treks to simple trails, it has choices for all. Panchase trekking is one of the shortest treks in Nepal, providing an ideal option for travelers to enjoy splendid views of the world’s tallest mountains with little effort.

With the highest elevation of 2,500 m, Panchase Hill in the region of Pokhara is the easiest viewpoint for the up-close look of the world’s greatest Himalayan peaks Mt. Macchapuchare, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Lamjung and Mt.Manaslu. At the top of Panchase with temples of Lord Shiva, and statues of Buddha any individual visiting this place will feel closer to the almighty.

Starting from the beautiful city Pokhara also known as “City of Lakes” this journey will take you across the city lights to Panchase Hill that serves as a platform for you to enjoy scenic views of tallest mountains and landscapes. On the journey through rocky trails in the tropical forest, you will get a chance to witness the unique lifestyles of Gurung and Magar, ethnic groups that are inhabitants of the region. The settlements of locals in this area is untouched with those of the towns. You can see small houses made of stones or red mid (ratto matto), staying in one of those houses as a guest will provide another unique experience for you.

The view of the snowy mountains from the summit of Panchase and the stunning views of sunrise and sunsets makes this trip more of value than what you spend. Along with the pictorial scenic beauty you can also catch glimpses of Deer, bear, red panda that are popular in the region. Panchase hill is also known to be home for many rare floras including the popular reddish or pinkish rhododendrons which are soothing to your eyes. With the sights of birds flying fearlessly at the sky and floras resting calmly in the arm of motherland you will constantly be getting motivation for more without you even knowing it. That's the power Panchase dhada holds.

After these many years, Panchase has still been able to keep its pristine purity mainly because it is one of the off-beaten trails here in Nepal. Panchase trek is one of the most underrated treks, you will rarely meet other trekkers here.

Though the trails provide gentle walks into the quieter and shaded areas of the region, the rocky trails are quite slippery. With a constant upward and downward route in the trek, you must be careful during the trip.

The trek requires no permit and is considered even perfect for those who are not so fit but would like to endure a marvelous trekking experience. Making this a perfect trekking route for the entire family.

You also don’t need to worry about the budget. This incredible journey of Panchase Trek is certainly one of the most cheapest but brilliant trek you can take on.

Best seasons for the trek:

Though the beauty of Panchase hill and the awesome journey surely that it will provide to you will make every season visit worth it. The perfect time frame for the trek would be during Autumn (Staring from September to the November) and spring (Starting from March to the end of May) compared to the days of winter (starting from December to the end Feb) and monsoon (starting from June to the end of August).

With a suitable temperature allowing the pinkish rhododendrons and other floras in full bloom and with no fog to block the alluring view of the mountain. The days of spring and autumn are considered best for the visit.

While during Monsoon, the route gets slippery due to heavy rains and leeches. The journey is quite troublesome

And in winter with freezing temperature and fogs blocking the view. You can’t enjoy the potential of what this journey has to give it to you to the fullest.
